Activating Your CamDRAW Licence Key
After buying CamDRAW you receive an activation key by email, usually within a few minutes of the order. Entering it turns the running trial into a full version. There is nothing to download or reinstall.
Where to enter the key
Open CorelDRAW and start CamDRAW from the bottom of the Tools menu.
Open the settings. Click the gear icon at the very top of the CamDRAW docker, immediately next to the CamDRAW logo.
Go to the Info tab. The settings window has four tabs across the top: General, Profile, NC Output and Info. Info is the last one.
Click Activate license. A separate activation window opens, showing the product name and version above a field for the key.
Paste the key into the License Key field. The format is six blocks of six characters separated by hyphens. Pasting is safer than typing.
Click the arrow icon at the bottom of the window. Of the three buttons there, the arrow pointing right starts the activation. The cross closes the window and the cart icon opens the shop.
Check the status message at the very bottom of the window. It reports whether activation succeeded. Close the window once it has.
What activation does
Activation binds the licence to that computer. It needs an internet connection once, and CamDRAW runs without one afterwards.
A licence is valid on one computer at a time. To use it elsewhere, deactivate it on the current machine first, which releases it for a new activation.
You do not have to wait for the trial to expire. A key can be entered at any point, including on day one, and nothing is lost by activating early.
Checking your licence status
In the same settings window, on the Info tab, click License information. It shows the product, the licence key in use, the licence status, the remaining days if you are still in the trial, and the licensee.
If the key is not accepted
Check for stray characters. Copying from an email sometimes carries a trailing space or a line break. Paste the key into a plain text editor first if you are unsure, then copy it again.
Check the internet connection. Activation contacts the licence server. A firewall or proxy blocking CorelDRAW can make a valid key appear invalid.
Check whether the key is already in use. A licence is bound to one computer. If you activated it on another machine, it has to be deactivated there before it will work here.
Check which CamDRAW you opened. On a machine with several CorelDRAW versions, each installation is separate. Activating in one does not activate the others.

After activation
Nothing else changes. Your tool lists, profiles and postprocessors are untouched, because they live in your user profile rather than in the program files. Projects created during the trial keep working exactly as before.
