Changing the CamDRAW Interface Language

CamDRAW picks up the language CorelDRAW is set to when it first starts. If you would rather work in a different one, it can be changed independently.
Available languages
The plugin interface is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese.
The documentation is available in English and German.
Changing it
Open the settings. Click the gear icon at the very top of the CamDRAW docker, immediately next to the CamDRAW logo.
Stay on the General tab. It is the first of the four tabs across the top of the settings window, and it opens by default.
Use the Language dropdown. It is the topmost entry on that tab.
Click Save at the bottom left of the settings window. Closing the window or clicking Cancel discards the change.
Restart CorelDRAW. The new language is applied when the plugin next loads. Nothing appears to happen until you do this, which is where most people assume the setting did not work.
Why a restart is needed
The interface texts are loaded once when the plugin starts, together with CorelDRAW. Changing the setting writes the new choice to the configuration file, but the running instance keeps the texts it already loaded.
Closing and reopening only the docker is not enough. CorelDRAW itself has to be closed and started again.
What the language setting does not change
The document unit. Language and units are independent. A German interface does not force millimetres, and an English one does not force inches. Units follow the CorelDRAW document.
The machine selection window. The window that appears on first start, asking which CNC machine you use, is shown in the language CorelDRAW is set to rather than the one chosen here.
Your G-code. Program output is unaffected. Comments written by the postprocessor come from the preset file, not from the interface language.
If the language does not change
Check that you clicked Save rather than closing the window. Then check that CorelDRAW was fully closed, including any second instance still running in the background, before starting it again.
If it still does not apply, our support team answers in English and German by email and phone.
