Uninstalling CamDRAW
Uninstalling CamDRAW removes the plugin from CorelDRAW. It is a short process, but there is one step to take first if the licence is going to be used elsewhere.
Deactivate the licence first
Uninstalling does not release your licence. A licence is bound to a computer, and removing the software leaves that binding in place.
If you plan to use CamDRAW on another machine, deactivate before you uninstall:
Open CorelDRAW and start CamDRAW from the bottom of the Tools menu.
Click the gear icon at the top of the docker, next to the logo.
Go to the Info tab and click License information.
Click Deactivate license.
The licence is now free for activation on another computer. Keep the key: you need the same one.
If CamDRAW is simply being removed and the licence stays with this machine, this step can be skipped.
Removing the plugin
Two ways, both with the same result.
Through the setup. Run the CamDRAW installer again. It detects the existing installation and offers to remove it.
Through Windows. Open the Control Panel, or Settings and then Apps, choose Uninstall a program, find CamDRAW in the list and remove it.
Close CorelDRAW first in either case. The uninstaller has to delete files inside CorelDRAW's program folder, and Windows blocks that while the program is running.
What is removed and what stays
Removed: the add-on directory inside CorelDRAW's program folder, at C:\Program Files\Corel<CorelDRAW version>\Programs64\Addons\CamDRAW 4 for a 64-bit installation, or the equivalent under Program Files (x86) and Programs for 32-bit.
Kept: everything in C:\Users<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\CamDRAW 4. Your application settings, both tool lists, the log file, your postprocessors and the backup folder all remain.
This is deliberate. Reinstalling later picks up your existing configuration rather than starting from defaults.
To remove those as well, delete the folder by hand. AppData is hidden in Explorer by default, so either switch on hidden items under the View tab, or paste %AppData%\CamDRAW 4 into the address bar.
Several CorelDRAW versions
Each installation is separate. Uninstalling from one CorelDRAW version leaves CamDRAW working in the others. Repeat the process per version if you want it gone everywhere.
Your existing drawings
CorelDRAW documents keep their machining data inside the CDR file. After uninstalling, those files still open normally in CorelDRAW, and the stored toolpath data stays with them. Reinstall later and the operations are read back in as before.
